Every Storm Runs Out of Rain - Progressing the Conversation

Join Dr Natalie Thurtle live in Melbourne as we broadcast her keynote address on her time as MSF medical coordinator in Palestine. A panel of experts will then lead a discussion on the challenges faced by healthcare workers and humanitarian organisations around the provision of healthcare in conflict zones. What are legal rights and indeed our duties when it comes to human rights advocacy? How can we make our voices heard, without being cancelled or doing further harm?

Every Storm Runs Out of Rain

Join us for a powerful talk and discussion on the themes of conflict, humanitarian aid and difficult conversations. The main address with be from Dr Natalie Thurtle, FACEM and former MSF Medical Coordinator for Palestine, followed by a panel discussion featuring Jennifer Tierney (MSF Executive Director), Dr Sarah Abdo (Physician), and Mary Freer (Compassion Revolution).

This evening will be moderated by Dr Ruth Mitchell, Neurosurgeon and Nobel Peace Prize Winner! We will be hosting a conversation on how we represent our core values as healthcare providers and organisations during difficult times. How do we speak without inflicting violence on each other, how do we remain engaged, and not cancel the conversation through fear.

Let’s progress this difficult conversation, we have to.

Come get your ticket if you don’t have one already…
